Frequently asked questions
Do I need training to use a Philips AED?
No. Both the HS1 and FRx are designed to be used by bystanders with no prior training. Voice and visual instructions guide you through every step. That said, CPR/AED training is always recommended and available through the American Heart Association.
Is this a one-time purchase or a subscription?
100% one-time purchase. You pay once and own the AED outright — no recurring fees, no contracts, no subscriptions. If you prefer a fully managed monthly plan, visit heart2start.com.
Which model should I choose?
Choose the HS1 if your AED will stay in one place (office, school, reception area). Choose the FRx if it needs to travel, withstand harsh conditions, or be used on children.
How long do the pads and battery last?
The Long-Life Battery Pack lasts up to 4 years in standby mode. SMART Pads typically last 2 years. Replacement pads and batteries are available separately on our store.
What warranty do I get?
Both models come with a full 2-year Philips manufacturer warranty. We are an authorized Philips dealer, so your warranty is fully valid.
